just bought two jerseys off meigray and was wondering if anyone knew how long they take to get over here as mine have been sent and they left the US on 9th june as thats the only info the tracking code gives. eleven days now and it was $60 and still no jersey. anyone bought one from them and how long did it take once shipped?
i have no problem with meigray i am just wondering why it takes so long if we are paying that sort of price for shipping _________________ http://community.webshots.com/user/tricky744 |

Meigray, love them but their shipping is just scandalous. I wouldn't worry too much about the shipping time, they do take a long time. If you're going to worry about anything, I would worry about the customs charges when it does arrive.
From now on, I will be getting a mate in USA to take shipment of my jerseys and then send them on to me here. Will cost half the price, and take the half te time. _________________ Looking for Kevin Brown's Manchester Storm gamers. |

| I must have been lucky as I've dealt with them on a number of occasions and I have always received the jersey's within 10 days. They could have been held by UK customs in which case you will receive a letter asking for payment before they will deliver. |

All the jerseys Ive bought from Meigray have been with me in like 4 or 5 days, theyve all been pretty quick. Like 12pots mentioned tho, it could have been held by customs, which would delay it slightly. The official USPS quoted airmail times are 10-14 days, so I wouldnt worry for a couple of days yet anyways, its still within the rough guide time!

I would be getting a bit concerned now also. Personally i haven't bought from Meigray before but if they charge $60 for shipping by USPS they must be using global express which has an estimated delivery time of 3 to 5 business days. It's also trackable so have you been given a tracking number you can check on the USPS website.
If they've used global priority it has a delivery time of 4 - 6 business days but to be honest I would be livid if I'd paid $60 and it was sent global priority as there is no tracking facility and it's not automatically insured.
I have a lot of stuff sent from the US and from personal experience global priority takes anything from 5 to 10 days.
If a courier has been used i.e. fedex, UPS then customs charges are raised by the carrier automatically so unlike USPS mail there is usually no delay with customs. This type of service is expensive but is fully trackable online, you can track the parcel every step of the way to your local depot.
Hope this helps |

| you've done quite well there with a £30 customs bill on two jerseys. I bought an ECHL jersey for $170, paid $20 for shipping by USPS global priority and got charged £39 by those nice customs people. The breakdown was something like 17% VAT, 11% duty and an £8 administration charge from Royal Mail |

I bought a $400 jersey early in the season and had to pay £80 customs fees, since then I get Meigray to send them with a declared value of $50 and send the paperwork seperate.
I am taking a risk with my next batch as they total $2200 (including a SCF jersey) but I couldnt take the hit on those, it would be extreme.
Alos with regards to shipping I have always found them rather quick, wish it was done via Fedex so I could track but as long as I receive it within 2 weeks that is fine.
If you want it shipped with a low value just ask Dave Hall at Meigray, great guy and is very helpful. _________________ http://shotb.fotopic.net - My Jerseys |
