With a very nice pick up of a Grant Sjerven Manchester Storm 98/99 (ISL Winning Season) home jersey off eBay today, the collection hit 100.
Part of me is pleased. Part of me is scared that half of my mortgage currently sits in a wardrobe. It has struck me though, what the hell am I going to do with these things? I could wear a different jersey to every home game and not have to replicate one for 4 years. Of course, there are jerseys in my collection I don't dare wear but still.
Has anyone else looked at their wardrobe and thought, yeah it's pretty and all but could I be spending my money better? I don't think there is a question of me falling out of the hobby but I can't help but think what am I going to do with all of these things?
Saying that, anyone wish to sell a Manchester Storm/Phoenix jersey let me know! _________________ Looking for Kevin Brown's Manchester Storm gamers. |

I have been asking myself such questions recently, ie: When do you have enough? When is it time to thin the collection? How long should I keep my jerseys for and when is the best time to sell?
I just figure that while they still give me pleasure I will keep them, I also feel that most jerseys in my collection will not loose much value, especially if I keep them for some time and they become vintage.
I come from a family of collectors (of allsorts of things) and luckily I have picked up on their habits, IMO its much better than wasting money on say betting or going out drinking, at least there is something to show for your efforts/spending.
