Whats everyones focus? How did your collecting start off?

At first I just wanted a gameworn so I bought some cheap juniors, then I really wanted an NHL gamer in my collection, I first laid my hands on my Chris McAllister flyers, after that I just started buying any jersey that took my fancy but after a while I decided my collection needed a focus.

My initial focus is to have 1 jersey from every NHL team (of recent years) primarily that jersey being one of a tough guy but in some instances I will take what I can get (especially for the Blue Jackets and Hurricanes which are the only 2 missing from my collection! - Can anyone help on these?)

Aside from that I tend to also buy jerseys that I like the design of, ie Wheeling Nailers, Detroit Vipers, Cincinatti Cyclones etc but I still try to stick with the tough guy focus.

I have almost met my main goal with the NHL set but I can already feel it expanding into a bigger focus, my next step will be to have another set of jerseys from all the NHL teams but this time being the opposite set (ie a road or home) depending on what I already have and instead of a tough guy a skill player instead...

So whats everyone else' focus?

My focus is minor jerseys mainly. I think some designs out there are better than the NHL jerseys. I am always looking for minor jerseys, so if any one wants to get rid of some, let me know.
I started collecting when i had my 1st shirt [cugnet devils]. soon after that, i bought a bison GI, from the playoffs. Then it started properly when Diablo! decided to sell some, bought some jerseys off him then it escalated from there!

My main focus is to get more Nicky Chinn jerseys.

Also i wouldnt mind adding a few more Eric Cairns jerseys to my collection.

I started by deciding I'd get 'just one', while watching the Knights final season (02/03). I had a look on the other Gameworn forum having been pointed there by Rick Strang and been inspired by his humungous collection, and ended up getting the home and road Manitoba Moose Sean Blanchard shirts. I left it at that until the end of the season, when I snagged Steve Aronson's Knights jersey.

After that, and with the advent of the Racers, I decided that if it was worn by a player I'd met and seen play for a London team, I was interested. I accumilated fast and have had over 60 jerseys pass through my hands in that time. However, recent events, including the birth of my son, mean that my priorities have shifted. I've sold or traded on the vast majority, but have kept the Jason Robinson's. I'm always looking to add to that collection; I'm probably about 5-6 from completing it.

For me, the thrill is in the searching and the finding, the anticipation of the jersey's arrival, and the checking it over. I get few chances to actually wear them though, which is a shame.

At the moment im looking for all of the above but mainly concentrating on the Oilers.

My collection started with getting gamers for Manchester Storm. Quickly spirralled when I started to get jerseys for former Manchester players - mainly as it meant getting Minor League jerseys and they're just so darn pretty.

I have tried to keep to that mantra as much as possible. I have only went off course to get a mini Jay McKee collection - McKee being my family number and the fact the Buffalo have without doubt the best jerseys in the NHL.

My main focus now is on former Manchester Storm player, Kevin Brown. However, his jerseys are so difficult to get that I sadly don't hold too much hope of getting many more than I have now.

Now I have bought my first house I should start slowing down. We'll have to see if that is the case though. So many jerseys to get.

i dont really have a focus- i like fighters and have a few and i also have a few jersey which i have picked up because they were cheap!

My focus is jerseys of Ken Hodge jr, in my eyes Ken was the best centre the Cardiff Devils have ever had i don't think i ever saw him lose the puck (class) i have four of his jerseys at present two Bruins one Minnesota North Stars and a Tampa Bay Lightning.

I am on the lookout for any of his jersey but especially some of his minor league teams- i know the whereabouts of two but it's trying to get the owners to part company with them Very Happy

My focus is Paxton Schulte and Doug Doull jerseys!

I got into it when I was in my mid teens and Doull left Manchester Storm. I got intouch with the team and managed to get my hands on his home jersey, then a friend introduced me to gameworn.net and i've been collecting ever since... I now have 11 Doull's and 3 Schulte's!

My collection is a little different. Im still new to it and only really been collecting for about 3-4 years. The main aim is to get Cardiff Devils Gamers and possibly Devils players who have moved on to other clubs. I choose to have no more that 1 shirt per player.
Also i do like to try and get a few euro gamers of players i have enjoyed watching play for the devils or against the devils.
Ive recently started looking at other players i like around the league at other teams and looked in to picking there gamers up.

Well thats my focus
