OK!

Halfway through this current EIHL season, and thought Id see what jerseys people have managed to get from the EIHL teams so far! Only managed a couple, and I know a few have to wait untill the end of the season for sponsored jerseys, but lets see whats out there already anyways! I may as well start off with my gamers from this season, all are on webshots!

Coventry Blaze Home Continental Cup #14 Jonathan Weaver w 'A'
Coventry Blaze Away Continental Cup #35 Trevor Koenig
Coventry Blaze 1 Game Christmas Jersey #59 K.C. Timmons
Newcastle Vipers Home #12 Petr Kratky
Newcastle Vipers Challenge Cup #12 Petr Kratky
Newcastle Vipers '1 Off' Christmas Jersey Blank

Love to know what else is out there already, especially from other teams around the EIHL! Post away if you can!

Andy

On this subject, I have a favour to ask of my fellow collectors here.

I am currently having a "discussion" with the GM of my local team regard the price and "perks" of sponsoring jerseys.

If anyone on here has either sponsored a team jersey, or are aware of what the deal is, can you please put the details on here? Price, how long jersey is worn, what else you may get etc?? Basically any details will be appreciated.

I'll start - Manchester Phoenix: £300 for either home or road jersey, you get a picture with the player and a couple of raffle tickets.

Thanks in advance.

Last season i sponsored both a Manchester and Belfast jersey. Since I don't live in either of those areas I didn't get all the extras. But i think you're meant to get a picture.....and i think i was told something about a meal with the player for manchester. I don't know if this was true but its originally what i was told.
Befast last season had a short spell where near christmas they sell tickets for a shirt off their back draw, so for a few games before the christmas period they have a new set of shirts. But if you sponsor a jersey that will be the primary one. I'm not sure what happens to away jerseys there.

I've sponsored an Edinburgh jersey for the past three seasons and its pretty basic there. Usually the deal is, you get the jersey....you can either get it at the game near christmas, which includes on ice presentation or you can wait till the end of the season and get it. If you wait till the end of the season you get a full season worn. At christmas you only get set 1.
Originally it was you get the home or away jersey which covers most the games, but since this new legacy jersey has came in it mixes it around a little.

But of course for all of my sponsorships i got my name in the programme.

Belfast: £180
Edinburgh: (was originally £120) but for past two seasons its been £150
Phoenix: (last season was £295 i think??)

I know that the Vipers charge £400 per jersey. For that money you get a picture with the player, your name on the shirt, name in programme and a few other things.
I think the panthers sponsorship is somewhere around the £375 mark...and thats only for a set 2 jersey.

Im sponsoring Cornish's Steelers gamer and this is the deal we get.

For £295 I get the set one pre xmas gameworn jersey which has been worn loads,It was worn for the first time v Sheffield Scimitars on aug 29th in pre season and has been worn in every home league game since (except one) it was last used v Manchester on Jan 5th! Was also used in one road game in Edinburgh!

The only game it wasnt used in was sep 22nd v Hull-this was the shirt of the back night of Jeremy Cornish and he wore a new jersey for that night.
Also at xmas the Steelers had xmas jerseys so it wasnt worn then for 2 games.

Was meant to get this at xmas but they Steelers hadnt changed over to the set 2 jerseys yet.I get it on saturday!

As part of the package we also get our name in every program this season,we get a photo of the jersey being presented and we also get a specially arranged evenign with the players. Bargain!

Really in the UK you definitely have to like the player if you're going to sponsor his jersey.
I know plenty of fans at newcastle who sponsor a jersey for just the sake of doing it, for example sponsoring back up nettie gamers just because they wany to say they've got one.

It's expensive for gamers in the uk. But if you really like the player than its worth the money, and of course if you have a goal and that jersey is your goal.

For example my family buy a Vipers jersey in the playoff auction every year, just to have a newcastle gamer from every season we've watched.

No jersey sponsoring for the Blaze.

Jersey raffle at every home game, where as far as I can tell having not won one myself, are jerseys used either just for that game, or 1 or 2 previous. They never look to show any or much wear.

Jerseys are all sold in a backwards auction at the seasons end. Bid £250 and you win the jersey, so there is a maximum bid. Otherwise, auction runs as normal. Obviously though, the wear is much better on these.

Agree with you though Stuart, if you want to sponsor in the UK, youve really gotta like the player. Its not really 'on a whim' stuff. I wanted a Tallari from the Phoenix, until I saw the price, and was told that was only for half a season. Rip!

Giant's Jersey sponsorship is £180 and this season they allowed sponsorship of both home and away jerseys.

I'm sponsoring Courtenay's away jersey. As far as i know, the jerseys are season worn, only 1 set, and all jerseys look hammered!!!!!

You get your name in the program and possibly a signed photo aswell but im not 100% sure on that, i just want the jersey =P

A small correction on the Giants jerseys based on what I was told when arranging sponsorship - there are two shirt off his back home jerseys for each player (one game wonders) and two regular season of each of the home and road jerseys. One of these is for the player sponsor and the other is for the jersey sponsor. So, a sponsored jersey should be worn for roughly half the regular season.

Well if thats true, they aint made the switch over, all the Giants jerseys are hammered, i was told that there was only 1 away set, and i assumed there would be 2 home as per usual, but they're still wearing the set 1s and its almost feb!
